Muhammad Ali (born Cassius Clay) was an American professional boxer, philanthropist and social activist. Considered a popular motivational and cultural icon, Ali was both idolized and vilified. Nicknamed "The Greatest," Ali was involved in innumerable historic boxing matches. Some of them with rival Joe Frazier and George Foreman are considered as the greatest boxing matches in history. Muhhamad Ali was popular for his unorthodox fighting style, which he described as "float[ing] like a butterfly, sting[ing] like a bee".
