Batman is a fictional comic book character, a superhero created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger. The character first appeared in Detective Comics #27 (May 1939), and since then has appeared primarily in publications by DC Comics. Did you know that The Batman is additionally known as "The Caped Crusader", "The World's Greatest Detective," and  "The Dark Knight", among other titles. Bruce Wayne is Batman's secret identity, an American billionaire playboy, industrialist, and philanthropist. Batman operates in the fictional Gotham City in America fighting an assortment of villains such as the Joker, Two-Face, Poison Ivy and Catwoman, The Penguin and The Riddler.
